The Duck Dash is an annual fund-raising event of the Lacey Rotary Club. Tickets are sold to members of the community for individually numbered rubber duck tickets. While ducks used to be dumped into a swift flowing river there is a drawing. The winners are selected by random drawing and awarded the various prizes. The prizes range from cash, a vacation trip, merchandise, jewelry, and the chance to win a car.
Duck Dash donations to the Lacey Rotary Foundation provide all the operating expenses and prize money for the winners of the event. All proceeds from ticket sales are available to fund Lacey Rotary Club’s community projects and support Rotary International’s worldwide projects.
